Champions League 2014-15 : Bayer beats Atletico 1-0

LEVERKUSEN, Feb. 25, 2015 (AMP) — Champions League 2014-15 : Bayer Leverkusen defeated Atletico Madrid by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in the first leg of a round of 16 game on Wednesday night at the BayArena in Leverkusen.

Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Turkish midfielder Hakan Çalhanoğlu in the 57th minute.

The second leg between Bayer Leverkusen and Atletico Madrid will be played on Tuesday March 17, 2015 (kick-off: 20:45) in Madrid.
