Bayern Munich beats Shakhtar to reach Champions League quarterfinals
MUNICH, Mar. 11, 2015 (AMP) — Champions League 2014-15 : Bayern Munich defeated Shakhtar Donetsk by a big score of 7-0 (halftime: 2-0), in the second leg of a round of 16 game on Wednesday night at the Allianz Arena in Munich.
Thomas Müller scored dual goals
Bayern Munich dominated the first half thanks to goals from Müller ('4 on penalty) and Boateng ('34). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Bavarians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring five times (Ribéry '49, Müller '51, Badstuber '63, Lewandowski '75 and Götze '87).
