Real Madrid beats Atletico in shoot out to win Champions League
May. 28, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2015-16 : Real Madrid claimed the Champions League crown after defeating Atletico Madrid 5-3 on penalties (after a 1-1 draw) in the final on Saturday.
The score was still 1-1 at the end of the regulation game time and overtime, after goals from Sergio Ramos ('15) for Real Madrid and Yannick Ferreira Carrasco ('79) for Atletico Madrid. Los Blancos finally emerged the victors in the penalty shootout session by winning 5-3.
