Champions League 2015-16 : Man Utd beats Wolfsburg 2-1
MANCHESTER, Sep. 30, 2015 (AMP) — Champions League 2015-16 : Manchester United defeated Wolfsburg by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a Champions League group stage game on Wednesday night at Old Trafford.
Wolfsburg midfielder Daniel Caligiuri opened the score in the 4th minute, before seeing Manchester United catch up in the 34th minute thanks to Juan Mata penalty kick. 1-1 at half time. The Red Devils eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Smalling in the 53rd minute.
The result put Man Utd second in Group B with 3 points. Wolfsburg is bottom with 3 points. In their next game, Manchester United will meet second-placed CSKA Moscow at Old Trafford on October 21, while Wolfsburg will face PSV Eindhoven.
