MANCHESTER, Nov. 3, 2015 (AMP) — Champions League 2015-16 : Manchester United defeated CSKA Moscow by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Tuesday night at Old Trafford.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney in the 79th minute.
The result put Man Utd top of Group B with 7 points. CSKA Moscow is bottom with 4 points. In their next game, Manchester United will meet second-placed PSV Eindhoven at Old Trafford on November 25, while CSKA Moscow will face Wolfsburg.
