Champions League 2015-16 : Astana and Galatasaray tied at 2-2

ASTANA, Sep. 30, 2015 (AMP) — Champions League 2015-16 : FC Astana tied 2-2 with Galatasaray (halftime: 0-1), in a Champions League group stage game on Wednesday night at the Astana Arena.

Galatasaray players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Kisa Bilal in the 31st minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, and despite Eric Nenad goal into his own net ('86) in the second period, they could not prevent a comeback by FC Astana with goals by Balta Hakan ('77 own) and Carole Lionel ('89 own).

The result left both teams at the bottom of Group C with one point. In their next game, Galatasaray will meet group leaders Benfica at the Astana Arena on October 21, while FC Astana will face Atletico Madrid.
