Champions League 2015-16 : Atletico beats Astana 4-0

MADRID, Oct. 21, 2015 (AMP) — Champions League 2015-16 : Atletico Madrid defeated FC Astana by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Wednesday night at the Vicente Calderon Stadium in Madrid.

Atletico Madrid dominated the first half thanks to goals from Ñiguez ('23) and Martinez Jackson ('29). Leading 2-0 at the break, Los Colchoneros further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Torres '63 and Dedechko Denys '89/own).

The result put Atletico top of Group C with 6 points. Astana is bottom with one point. In their next game, Atletico Madrid will meet FC Astana at the Vicente Calderon Stadium on November 3, while FC Astana will face Atletico Madrid.
