ISTANBUL, Oct. 21, 2015 (AMP) — Champions League 2015-16 : Galatasaray defeated Benfica by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 2-1), in a Champions League group stage game on Wednesday night at the Türk Telekom Arena in Istanbul.

All the action happened in the first half, with goals from Inan Selcuk ('19 on penalty) and Lukas Podolski ('33).

The result put Benfica second in Group C with 6 points. Galatasaray is third with 4 points. In their next game, Benfica will meet third-placed Galatasaray at the Türk Telekom Arena on November 3, while Galatasaray will face Benfica.
