LISBON, Nov. 3, 2015 (AMP) — Champions League 2015-16 : Benfica defeated Galatasaray by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Tuesday night at the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon.

45 minutes of play and neither Benfica nor Galatasaray have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by Jonas Congalves ('52) and Luisao ('67).

The result put Benfica top of Group C with 9 points. Galatasaray is third with 4 points. In their next game, Benfica will meet FC Astana at the Estádio da Luz on November 25, while Galatasaray will face Atletico Madrid.
