Champions League 2015-16 : Atletico beats Galatasaray 2-0

MADRID, Nov. 25, 2015 (AMP) — Champions League 2015-16 : Atletico Madrid defeated Galatasaray by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Wednesday night at the Vicente Calderon Stadium in Madrid.

Antoine Griezmann scored dual goals

Atletico Madrid dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by French midfielder Antoine Griezmann in the 13th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Colchoneros further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Griezmann in the 65th minute.

The result put Atletico top of Group C with 10 points. Galatasaray is third with 4 points. In their last game, Atletico Madrid will meet second-placed Benfica at the Vicente Calderon Stadium on December 8, while Galatasaray will face FC Astana.
