Champions League 2015-16 : Barcelona beats Bayer 2-1

BARCELONA, Sep. 29, 2015 (AMP) — Champions League 2015-16 : Barcelona defeated Bayer Leverkusen by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-1), in a Champions League group stage game on Tuesday night at the Camp Nou in Barcelona.

Bayer Leverkusen had started off well by taking the lead in the 22nd minute with a goal by Greek defender Kyriakos Papadopoulos. Trailing 1-0 at half time, Barca nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Roberto '80 and Suárez '82).

The result put Barcelona top of Group E with 4 points. Bayer is second with 3 points. In their next game, Barcelona will meet third-placed BATE Borisov at the Camp Nou on October 20, while Bayer Leverkusen will face AS Roma.
