Champions League 2015-16 : BATE and Bayer tied at 1-1

BORISOV, Nov. 24, 2015 (AMP) — Champions League 2015-16 : BATE Borisov tied 1-1 with Bayer Leverkusen (halftime: 1-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Tuesday night at the Borisov Arena.

BATE Borisov players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Gordeichuk Mikhail in the 2nd minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Bayer Leverkusen with a saving goal from Swiss forward Admir Mehmedi in the 68th minute.

The result put Bayer second in Group E with 5 points. BATE is bottom with 4 points. In their last game, Bayer Leverkusen will meet group leaders Barcelona at the Borisov Arena on December 9, while BATE Borisov will face AS Roma.
