Champions League 2015-16 : Zenit beats Valencia 3-2

VALENCIA, Sep. 16, 2015 (AMP) — Champions League 2015-16 : Zenit St Petersburg defeated Valencia by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 2-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Wednesday night at the Mestalla Stadium in Valencia.

Hulk scored dual goals

Zenit St Petersburg dominated the first half thanks to goals from Hulk ('9, '44). Leading 2-0 at the break, the “Blue-White-Sky Blues” further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Witsel in the 76th minute.

The result put Zenit top of Group H with 3 points. In their next game, Zenit St Petersburg will meet second-placed Gent at the Mestalla Stadium on September 29, while Valencia will face Lyon.
