Champions League 2015-16 : Valencia beats Gent 2-1

VALENCIA, Oct. 20, 2015 (AMP) — Champions League 2015-16 : Valencia defeated Gent by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a Champions League group stage game on Tuesday night at the Mestalla Stadium in Valencia.

Nielsen Lasse opened the score in the 15th minute with an own goal, before seeing Gent catch up in the 40th minute thanks to Foket Thomas. 1-1 at half time. Los Che eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Mitrović into his own net in the 72nd minute.

The result put Valencia second in Group H with 6 points. Gent is third with one point. In their next game, Valencia will meet third-placed Gent at the Mestalla Stadium on November 4, while Gent will face Valencia.
