Champions League 2015-16 : Zenit beats Lyon 2-0

LYON, Nov. 4, 2015 (AMP) — Champions League 2015-16 : Zenit St Petersburg defeated Lyon by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Wednesday night at the Stade de Gerland in Lyon.

Dzyuba Artem scored dual goals

Zenit St Petersburg dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Dzyuba Artem in the 25th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the “Blue-White-Sky Blues” further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Dzyuba Artem in the 57th minute.

The result put Zenit top of Group H with 12 points. Lyon is bottom with one point. In their next game, Zenit St Petersburg will meet second-placed Valencia at the Stade de Gerland on November 24, while Lyon will face Gent.
