Champions League 2015-16 : Barcelona defeats Atletico 2-1

BARCELONA, Apr. 5, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2015-16 : Barcelona defeated Atletico Madrid by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-1), in the first leg of a quarterfinals on Tuesday night at the Camp Nou in Barcelona.

Atletico Madrid had started off well by taking the lead in the 25th minute with a goal by forward Fernando Torres. Trailing 1-0 at half time, Barca nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Suárez '63, '74).

The second leg between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid will be played on Wednesday April 13, 2016 (kick-off: 20:45) in Madrid.
