Champions League 2015-16 : Wolfsburg beats Gent 3-2

GHENT, Feb. 17, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2015-16 : Wolfsburg defeated Gent by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 1-0), in the first leg of a round of 16 game on Wednesday night at the AFG Arena in Ghent.

Julian Draxler scored dual goals

Wolfsburg dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Julian Draxler in the 44th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Die Wölfe further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Draxler '54 and Kruse '60).

The second leg between Gent and Wolfsburg will be played on Tuesday March 8, 2016 (kick-off: 20:45) in Wolfsburg.
