Bayern Munich beats Juve in extra time to reach Champions League quarterfinals
MUNICH, Mar. 16, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2015-16 : Bayern Munich defeated Juventus 4-2 after extra time, in the second leg of a round of 16 game on Wednesday night at the Allianz Arena in Munich.
The score was still 2-2 after the 90 minutes of regulation time, after goals from Paul Pogba ('5) and Juan Cuadrado ('28) for Juventus and Robert Lewandowski ('73) and Thomas Müller ('90) for Bayern Munich, and both teams had to wait for overtime to settle the issue. The Bavarians finally broke through with goals from Alcántara ('108) and Coman ('110).
