Champions League 2016-17 : Benfica beats Dynamo Kiev 2-0

KIEV, Oct. 19, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 : Benfica defeated Dynamo Kiev by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Wednesday night at the Kiev Olympic Stadium.

Benfica dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Argentine forward Eduardo Salvio in the 9th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Eagles further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Cervi Franco in the 55th minute.

The result put Benfica third in Group B with 4 points. Dynamo Kiev is bottom with one point. In their next game, Benfica will meet Dynamo Kiev at the Kiev Olympic Stadium on November 1, while Dynamo Kiev will face Benfica.
