Champions League 2016-17 : Besiktas beats Napoli 3-2

NAPLES, Oct. 19, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 : Besiktas defeated Napoli by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 2-1), in a Champions League group stage game on Wednesday night at the San Paolo Stadium in Naples.

Vincent Aboubakar scored dual goals

Besiktas dominated the first half thanks to goals from Adriano De Oliveira ('12) and Aboubakar ('38). Leading 2-1 at the break, the “Black Eagles” further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Aboubakar with just 4 minutes remaining in regulation time.

The result put Napoli top of Group B with 6 points. Besiktas is second with 5 points. In their next game, Napoli will meet second-placed Besiktas at the San Paolo Stadium on November 1, while Besiktas will face Napoli.
