Champions League 2016-17 : Besiktas draw 3-3 with Benfica

ISTANBUL, Nov. 23, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 : Besiktas tied 3-3 with Benfica (halftime: 0-3), in a Champions League group stage game on Wednesday night at the Vodafone Arena in Istanbul.

Benfica players started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Guedes ('10), Semedo Nelsinho ('25) and Fejsa ('31). However, even though they were leading 3-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Besiktas with goals by Tosun Cenk ('58), Ricardo Quaresma ('83 on penalty) and Vincent Aboubakar ('89).

The result put Benfica top of Group B with 8 points. Besiktas is third with 7 points. In their last game, Benfica will meet second-placed Napoli at the Vodafone Arena on December 6, while Besiktas will face Dynamo Kiev.
