BARCELONA, Sep. 13, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 : Barcelona defeated Celtic by a big score of 7-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Tuesday night at the Camp Nou in Barcelona.

Lionel Messi scored tripple goals

Barcelona dominated the first half thanks to goals from Messi ('3, '27). Leading 2-0 at the break, Barca further widened their lead in the second period by scoring five times (Neymar '50, Iniesta '59, Messi '60 and Suárez '75, '88).

The result put Barcelona top of Group C with 3 points. In their next game, Barcelona will meet Mönchengladbach at the Camp Nou on September 28, while Celtic will face Manchester City.
