MANCHESTER, Sep. 14, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 : Manchester City defeated Mönchengladbach by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Wednesday night at the City of Manchester Stadium in Manchester.

Sergio Agüero scored tripple goals

Manchester City dominated the first half thanks to goals from Agüero ('9, '28 on penalty). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Citizens further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Agüero '77 and Iheanacho Kelechi '90).

The result put Man City second in Group C with 3 points. In their next game, Manchester City will meet Celtic at the City of Manchester Stadium on September 28, while Mönchengladbach will face Barcelona.
