Champions League 2016-17 : Barcelona beats M'Gladbach 2-1
MöNCHENGLADBACH, Sep. 28, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 : Barcelona defeated Mönchengladbach by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-1), in a Champions League group stage game on Wednesday night at Borussia Park in Mönchengladbach.
Mönchengladbach had started off well by taking the lead in the 34th minute with a goal by Belgian midfielder Thorgan Hazard. Trailing 1-0 at half time, Barca nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Turan '65 and Piqué '74).
The result put Barcelona top of Group C with 6 points. M'Gladbach is bottom with no points. In their next game, Barcelona will meet second-placed Manchester City at Borussia Park on October 19, while Mönchengladbach will face Celtic.
