Champions League 2016-17 : M'Gladbach hold Celtic to 1-1

MöNCHENGLADBACH, Nov. 1, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 : Mönchengladbach tied 1-1 with Celtic (halftime: 1-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Tuesday night at Borussia Park in Mönchengladbach.

Mönchengladbach players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Mönchengladbach midfielder Lars Stindl in the 32nd minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Celtic with a saving goal from French forward Moussa Dembélé on penalty in the 76th minute.

The result put M'Gladbach third in Group C with 4 points. Celtic is bottom with 2 points. In their next game, Mönchengladbach will meet second-placed Manchester City at Borussia Park on November 23, while Celtic will face Barcelona.
