MADRID, Nov. 23, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 : Atletico Madrid defeated PSV Eindhoven by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Wednesday night at the Vicente Calderon Stadium in Madrid.

45 minutes of play and neither Atletico Madrid nor PSV Eindhoven have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Gameiro ('55) and Griezmann ('66).

The result put Atletico top of Group D with 15 points. PSV is bottom with one point. In their last game, Atletico Madrid will meet second-placed Bayern Munich at the Vicente Calderon Stadium on December 6, while PSV Eindhoven will face Rostov.
