Champions League 2016-17 : CSKA Moscow draw 1-1 with Monaco

MOSCOW, Oct. 18, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 : CSKA Moscow tied 1-1 with Monaco (halftime: 1-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Tuesday night at the Arena CSKA in Moscow.

CSKA Moscow players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Ivorian forward Lacina Traoré in the 34th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Monaco with a saving goal from Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva in the 87th minute.

The result put Monaco top of Group E with 5 points. CSKA Moscow is bottom with 2 points. In their next game, Monaco will meet CSKA Moscow at the Arena CSKA on November 2, while CSKA Moscow will face Monaco.
