LONDON, Nov. 2, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 : Bayer Leverkusen defeated Tottenham by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Wednesday night at Wembley Stadium.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Slovenian midfielder Kevin Kampl in the 65th minute.
The result put Bayer second in Group E with 6 points. Tottenham is third with 4 points. In their next game, Bayer Leverkusen will meet CSKA Moscow at Wembley Stadium on November 22, while Tottenham will face Monaco.
