Champions League 2016-17 : CSKA Moscow and Bayer play to a 1-1 draw

MOSCOW, Nov. 22, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 : CSKA Moscow tied 1-1 with Bayer Leverkusen (halftime: 0-1), in a Champions League group stage game on Tuesday night at the Arena CSKA in Moscow.

Bayer Leverkusen players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Bayer Leverkusen forward Kevin Volland in the 16th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by CSKA Moscow with a saving goal from Natcho Bibras on penalty in the 76th minute.

The result put Bayer second in Group E with 7 points. CSKA Moscow is bottom with 3 points. In their last game, Bayer Leverkusen will meet group leaders Monaco at the Arena CSKA on December 7, while CSKA Moscow will face Tottenham.
