Champions League 2016-17 : Bayer and Monaco qualify for the Round of 16
LEVERKUSEN, Dec. 7, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 : Bayer Leverkusen defeated Monaco by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Wednesday night at the BayArena in Leverkusen.
Bayer Leverkusen dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Ukrainian midfielder Yurchenko Vladlen in the 30th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Bayer Leverkusen players further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Brandt '48 and De Sanctis Morgan '82/own).
