MADRID, Oct. 18, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 : Real Madrid defeated Legia Warsaw by a big score of 5-1 (halftime: 3-1), in a Champions League group stage game on Tuesday night at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid.

Real Madrid dominated the first half thanks to goals from Bale ('16), Jodlowiec Tomasz ('20 own) and Asensio Marco ('37). Leading 3-1 at the break, Los Blancos further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Vazquez Lucas '68 and Morata '84).

The result put Real Madrid second in Group F with 7 points. Legia Warsaw is bottom with no points. In their next game, Real Madrid will meet Legia Warsaw at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on November 2, while Legia Warsaw will face Real Madrid.
