Champions League 2016-17 : Dortmund defeats Sporting 2-1

LISBON, Oct. 18, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 : Borussia Dortmund defeated Sporting Lisbon by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 2-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Tuesday night at the Estádio José Alvalade in Lisbon.

Borussia Dortmund dominated the first half thanks to goals from Aubameyang ('9) and Weigl ('43). Leading 2-0 at the break, BVB further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by in the th minute.

The result put Dortmund top of Group F with 7 points. Sporting is third with 3 points. In their next game, Borussia Dortmund will meet third-placed Sporting Lisbon at the Estádio José Alvalade on November 2, while Sporting Lisbon will face Borussia Dortmund.
