WARSAW, Nov. 2, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 : Legia Warsaw tied 3-3 with Real Madrid (halftime: 1-2), in a Champions League group stage game on Wednesday night at the Polish Army Stadium in Warsaw.
Real Madrid players started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Bale ('1) and Benzema ('35) while Legia Warsaw only scored once Odjidja-Ofoe ('40). However, even though they were leading 2-1 at half time, and despite Kovačić goal ('85) in the second period, they could not prevent a comeback by Legia Warsaw with goals by Radovic Miroslav ('58) and Thibault Moulin ('83).
The result put Real Madrid second in Group F with 8 points. Legia Warsaw is bottom with one point. In their next game, Real Madrid will meet third-placed Sporting Lisbon at the Polish Army Stadium on November 22, while Legia Warsaw will face Borussia Dortmund.
