BRUGES, Oct. 18, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 : Porto defeated Club Brugge by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-1), in a Champions League group stage game on Tuesday night at the Jan Breydel Stadium in Bruges.
Club Brugge had started off well by taking the lead in the 12th minute with a goal by forward Jelle Vossen. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Dragons nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Layún '68 and Silva Andre '90 on penalty).
The result put Porto third in Group G with 4 points. Club Brugge is bottom with no points. In their next game, Porto will meet Club Brugge at the Jan Breydel Stadium on November 2, while Club Brugge will face Porto.
