SEVILLE, Sep. 27, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 : Sevilla defeated Lyon by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Tuesday night at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium in Seville.

Lyon made Sevilla doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by French forward Wissam Ben Yedder in the 53rd minute.

The result put Sevilla second in Group H with 4 points. Lyon is third with 3 points. In their next game, Sevilla will meet Dinamo Zagreb at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium on October 18, while Lyon will face Juventus.
