Champions League 2016-17 : Benfica beats Dortmund 1-0

LISBON, Feb. 14, 2017 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 : Benfica defeated Borussia Dortmund by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in the first leg of a round of 16 game on Tuesday night at the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon.

Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Greek forward Kostas Mitroglou in the 48th minute.

The second leg between Benfica and Borussia Dortmund will be played on Wednesday March 8, 2017 (kick-off: 20:45) in Dortmund.
