Champions League 2016-17 : Real Madrid defeats Napoli 3-1

MADRID, Feb. 15, 2017 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 : Real Madrid defeated Napoli by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-1), in the first leg of a round of 16 game on Wednesday night at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid.

Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne opened the score in the 8th minute, before seeing Real Madrid catch up in the 18th minute thanks to Karim Benzema. 1-1 at half time. Los Blancos eventually won the game in the second period with two more goals by Kroos ('49) and [[Casemiro ('54).

The second leg between Real Madrid and Napoli will be played on Tuesday March 7, 2017 (kick-off: 20:45) in Naples.
