Champions League 2016-17 : Man City defeats Monaco 5-3

MANCHESTER, Feb. 21, 2017 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 : Manchester City defeated Monaco by a score of 5-3 (halftime: 1-2), in the first leg of a round of 16 game on Tuesday night at the City of Manchester Stadium in Manchester.

Sergio Agüero scored dual goals

Monaco had started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Falcao ('32) and Mbappe Kylian ('40), while Man City only scored once Sterling ('26). Trailing 2-1 at half time, the Citizens nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring four times in the second period (Agüero '58, '71, Stones '77 and Sané '82).

The second leg between Manchester City and Monaco will be played on Wednesday March 15, 2017 (kick-off: 20:45) in Monaco.
