Bayern Munich beats Arsenal to reach Champions League quarterfinals
LONDON, Mar. 7, 2017 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 : Bayern Munich defeated Arsenal by a big score of 5-1 (halftime: 0-1), in the second leg of a round of 16 game on Tuesday night at the Emirates Stadium in London.
Arturo Vidal scored dual goals
Arsenal had started off well by taking the lead in the 20th minute with a goal by forward Theo Walcott. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Bavarians nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring five times in the second period (Lewandowski '55 on penalty, Robben '68, Costa Douglas '78 and Vidal '80, '85).
