Real Madrid beats Napoli to reach Champions League quarterfinals
NAPLES, Mar. 7, 2017 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 : Real Madrid defeated Napoli by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 0-1), in the second leg of a round of 16 game on Tuesday night at the San Paolo Stadium in Naples.
Napoli had started off well by taking the lead in the 24th minute with a goal by Belgian forward Dries Mertens. Trailing 1-0 at half time, Los Blancos nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring three times in the second period (Ramos '52, Mertens '57 own and Morata '90).
