MADRID, May. 2, 2017 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 : Real Madrid defeated Atletico Madrid by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in the first leg of a semifinals on Tuesday night at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored tripple goals

Real Madrid dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo in the 10th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Blancos further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Ronaldo '73, '86).

The second leg between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid will be played on Wednesday May 10, 2017 (kick-off: 20:45) in Madrid.
