Champions League 2017-18 : CSKA Moscow beats Benfica 2-1

LISBON, Sep. 12, 2017 (AMP) — Champions League 2017-18 : CSKA Moscow defeated Benfica by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Tuesday night at the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon.

Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Vitinho Dos Santos ('63 on penalty) and Zhamaletdinov Timur ('71).

The result put CSKA Moscow second in Group A with 3 points. In their next game, CSKA Moscow will meet group leaders Manchester United at the Estádio da Luz on September 27, while Benfica will face Basel.
