Champions League 2017-18 : Man Utd beats CSKA Moscow 4-1

MOSCOW, Sep. 27, 2017 (AMP) — Champions League 2017-18 : Manchester United defeated CSKA Moscow by a score of 4-1 (halftime: 3-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Wednesday night at the VEB Arena in Moscow.

Romelu Lukaku scored dual goals

Manchester United dominated the first half thanks to goals from Lukaku ('4, '27) and Martial ('19 on penalty). Leading 3-0 at the break, the Red Devils further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Mkhitaryan in the 57th minute.

The result put Man Utd top of Group A with 6 points. CSKA Moscow is third with 3 points. In their next game, Manchester United will meet Benfica at the VEB Arena on October 18, while CSKA Moscow will face Basel.
