Champions League 2017-18 : Basel beats Man Utd 1-0

BASEL, Nov. 22, 2017 (AMP) — Champions League 2017-18 : Basel defeated Manchester United by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Wednesday night at St. Jakob-Park in Basel.

Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Lang Michael with one minute left in regular time.

The result put Man Utd top of Group A with 12 points. Basel is second with 9 points. In their last game, Manchester United will meet third-placed CSKA Moscow at St. Jakob-Park on December 5, while Basel will face Benfica.
