LONDON, Sep. 12, 2017 (AMP) — Champions League 2017-18 : Chelsea defeated Qarabag by a big score of 6-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Tuesday night at Stamford Bridge in London.
Chelsea dominated the first half thanks to goals from Pedro ('5) and Zappacosta ('30). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Blues further widened their lead in the second period by scoring four times (Azpilicueta '55, Bakayoko '71, Batshuayi '76 and Medvedev '82/own).
The result put Chelsea top of Group C with 3 points. In their next game, Chelsea will meet second-placed Atletico Madrid at Stamford Bridge on September 27, while Qarabag will face AS Roma.
