Champions League 2017-18 : Chelsea hold Roma to 3-3
LONDON, Oct. 18, 2017 (AMP) — Champions League 2017-18 : Chelsea tied 3-3 with AS Roma (halftime: 2-1), in a Champions League group stage game on Wednesday night at Stamford Bridge in London.
Chelsea players started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Luiz ('11) and Hazard ('37) while AS Roma only scored once Kolarov ('40). However, even though they were leading 2-1 at half time, and despite Hazard goal ('75) in the second period, they could not prevent a comeback by AS Roma with dual goals from Bosnian forward Edin Džeko ('64 and '70.
The result put Chelsea top of Group C with 7 points. Roma is second with 5 points. In their next game, Chelsea will meet second-placed AS Roma at Stamford Bridge on October 31, while AS Roma will face Chelsea.
