Champions League 2017-18 : Barcelona beats Juve 3-0

BARCELONA, Sep. 12, 2017 (AMP) — Champions League 2017-18 : Barcelona defeated Juventus by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Tuesday night at the Camp Nou in Barcelona.

Lionel Messi scored dual goals

Barcelona dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Argentine forward Lionel Messi in the 45th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Barca further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Rakitić '56 and Messi '69).

The result put Barcelona top of Group D with 3 points. In their next game, Barcelona will meet second-placed Sporting Lisbon at the Camp Nou on September 27, while Juventus will face Olympiacos.
