Champions League 2017-18 : Sporting beats Olympiacos 3-2

ATHENS, Sep. 12, 2017 (AMP) — Champions League 2017-18 : Sporting Lisbon defeated Olympiacos by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 3-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Tuesday night at the Karaiskakis Stadium in Athens.

Sporting Lisbon dominated the first half thanks to goals from Doumbia ('2), Gelson M. ('13) and Fernandes ('43). Leading 3-0 at the break, the Sportinguistas further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by in the th minute.

The result put Sporting second in Group D with 3 points. In their next game, Sporting Lisbon will meet group leaders Barcelona at the Karaiskakis Stadium on September 27, while Olympiacos will face Juventus.
