Champions League 2017-18 : Barcelona defeats Olympiacos 3-1

BARCELONA, Oct. 18, 2017 (AMP) — Champions League 2017-18 : Barcelona defeated Olympiacos by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Wednesday night at the Camp Nou in Barcelona.

Barcelona dominated the first half as a result of the unfortunate own goal scored by Nikolaou in the 18th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Barca further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Messi '61 and Digne '64).

The result put Barcelona top of Group D with 9 points. Olympiacos is bottom with no points. In their next game, Barcelona will meet Olympiacos at the Camp Nou on October 31, while Olympiacos will face Barcelona.
