Champions League 2017-18 : Juve beats Sporting 2-1

TURIN, Oct. 18, 2017 (AMP) — Champions League 2017-18 : Juventus defeated Sporting Lisbon by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a Champions League group stage game on Wednesday night at the Juventus Stadium in Turin.

[Alex Sandro opened the score in the 12th minute with an own goal, before seeing Juventus catch up in the 29th minute thanks to Miralem Pjanić. 1-1 at half time. La Vecchia Signora eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Mandžukić with just 6 minutes remaining in regulation time.

The result put Juve second in Group D with 6 points. Sporting is third with 3 points. In their next game, Juventus will meet third-placed Sporting Lisbon at the Juventus Stadium on October 31, while Sporting Lisbon will face Juventus.
